levkonoeMark Tochilkin was born in 1958 in the Ukraine. He attended the Academy of Art in Leningrad and was a member of the Soviet Artists’ Society. In 1990 he immigrated to Israel. He has become one of the most interesting, spontaneous and diverse artist of our time and an acclaimed master of modern Israeli painting. His paintings are never static as they possess a sense of movement and are loaded with vitality. His works also reveal a strong and ironic sense of humor.
